10 TIPS
FOR GROWING A GREAT LAWN

1) Always perform a soil test before fertilizing or liming (at least once every 3 years).

2) Always use the purest, weed-free grass seed, recommended by the University of Maryland Cooperative Extension Service.

3) Mow your lawn at least once a week during the growing season.

4) Always mow at the highest setting (3 inches), from April 15th – October 15th, and slightly lower (2–2.5 inches) in early spring and late fall.

5) Always water your lawn in the early morning, preferably before 10am.

6) Always water deeply and infrequently. In the summer once or twice a week for 1 to 2 hours per section is fine. When seeded, water daily for 14 to 21 days for 10 to 15 minutes, twice a day until germination occurs.

7) Always mow with a sharp blade at full RPMs.

8) Always aerate your lawn in the cooler months to promote a healthy root system and to control thatch build up.

9) Avoid heavy foot/equipment traffic on lawn during stressful times such as drought.

10) Let the lawn-care professionals at COMPLETE LAWN CARE, INC. seed and aerate your lawn, in addition to safely and efficiently handling the application of fertilizers and pesticides to protect you and the environment.

I don’t know how many people I have recommended to you over the years, but I can safely say that it wasn’t enough. The quality of customer care that you display makes doing business with you a very pleasant experience. Keep up the great work.
